Sciatica

Wikipedia defines sciatica is a medical condition characterized by pain going down the leg from the lower back.  This pain may go down the back, outside, or front of the leg.

Often times we are told that we “just have” sciatica.  But as you know it can be extremely painful and uncomfortable.  Sciatica just describes the symptoms but there are several possible causes of sciatica.  The goal in our office is to determine the exact cause of the sciatic pain first and then design a treatment plan to relieve the pain.  Many times we will also advise of a long term plan to help decrease flare ups in the future.
